Our 20th Season

1986        2006

About Us

You may remember us from the glory days of the '80s at Bogie's with the huge tailgate parties, Bernie Kosar, Clay "Don't Call Me Doug" Matthews and the Dawg Pound.
Or you may have joined us in the '90s at Jonathan's on 45th Street and The Sport on Village Boulevard
But now we have found a home in the new millennium at Splash Grill on Military Trail just North of 45th Street in West Palm Beach.

Club History
The Browns Backers of the Palm Beaches was organized in 1986 and is one of more then 260 chapters in Browns Backers Worldwide, which has clubs in 34 states and 9 countries. BBW is the largest fan club network in sports today with more than 19,000 paid members.
After several seasons at Bogie's in West Palm Beach, during which the club had a membership as high as 350 members, the club's prime meeting places in the early ’90s were Jonathan's on 45th Street and The Spot on Village Boulevard, both in West Palm Beach. When the Browns returned in 1999, the club met at DeCesare's in North Palm Beach. In 2000, the club moved to Spanky's on world-famous Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach. After 2 hurricanes within 3 weeks hit in 2004, Spanky's was no more. The viewing location for the remainder of that year was The Stadium Grill at Abacoa in Jupiter. In 2005 we found our current and best viewing location at Splash Grill.
The club's main purpose is to provide a meeting place to view the always exciting Cleveland Browns. During the season, the club has regular tailgate parties and raffles at the games and also has a monthly newsletter. Over the years the club has sponsored trips to Browns games, picnics, Dawg nights at the dog track, golf tournaments and other events.
Membership is $20 for the year, which starts with the first regular season game.
Thanks for your interest in the Browns Backers of the Palm Beaches!
          Go Browns!
